Residential Construction Lead Carpenter

Pay: $25-$45 hourly

Currently, we are hiring two experienced Lead Carpenters to help expand our Handyman and Remodel Division. Responsibilities

  • Present yourself in a professional manner to customers and be able to troubleshoot and fix customer issues.

  • Have a clean background and driving record to drive a company vehicle. Provide your own transportation.

  • Ready the construction site (usually a home residence) each day for the current project by preparing materials, tools, and equipment

  • Apply new project instructions for each job and make adjustments as appropriate. Receive direction by the project manager or supervisor. Aid other team members on various tasks if your duties are completed ahead of schedule on larger projects.

  • Wear clean safety equipment, such as ear plugs, safety glasses, gloves, helmets, and boots that are in good repair

  • Comply with health and safety regulations when operating equipment or walking on the job site even when not on active duty

  • Maintain a brisk and productive pace of activities to complete all assigned tasks within time constraints

  • Leave construction equipment and tools clean, organized, and stored in an orderly fashion after each use

  • Ensure end-of-day procedures; clean up, weather protection, time card completion, and security.

Qualifications for Construction Technician

  • Preferences to those who have a full knowledge & experience understanding residential construction including but not limited to, demo, framing, siding, level 5 drywall, window and door installation, finish work, decking, and can see quality work.

  • Preferences to those who can present to customers in a professional manner and provide clear communication with customers.

  • Advanced knowledge and familiarity with hand tools such as power drills, hammers, and saws.

  • Valid driver’s license and must have their own vehicle.

  • Have most of your own tools.

  • Ability to do repetitive actions. Load, lift, dig, move materials using your hands, arms, wrists, fingers, legs, or other body parts.

  • Commitment to wearing protective safety gear for heat, noise, and prevention of injury on the job site

  • Communication and teamwork skills.

  • High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) preferred, but not required

  • Good English oral comprehension skills to follow verbal instructions and respond to questions about job tasks

  • Be willing to be trained.

  • General knowledge of construction operations and procedures

  • Ability to work well with a team of subcontractors and a supervisor
