Repair Holes In Drywall, Seattle
In these spaces, there were holes in the drywall that need to be repaired. In the smaller space, there was a small hole in the drywall, so we cut the drywall back to the nearest studs to be able to properly secure the replacement piece of drywall. In the larger space, there was previously an old radiator system that was removed, leaving a 1ft x 5ft hole in the drywall at the base of the wall. In order to best hide seams between new and old drywall and ensure the stability of the newly installed piece of drywall, the old drywall was cut out to the studs at the base of the window frame, then all the way up to the bottom of the window frame. For each space, a new piece of drywall will be cut and screwed into place, and will later be taped, mudded, textured then painted to completely match the previous wall.
In one of the spare bedrooms, we had to open up a portion of the wall so the electrician could gain access to the electrical panel dead center in the wall. Once the electrician re-wires the electrical in this wall, we will then cut a new piece of drywall to attach, mud, tape, the texture and paint it so there is no evidence we ever touched the wall.
it’ll look good as new once we’re done.
