Deck Revitalization

The Problem: The existing old deck was showing many signs of ageing and although the structure was in relatively decent shape, many deck boards were rotting and the homeowners were concerned being able to safely enjoy their deck for the upcoming summer season.

The Solution: The deck was stripped of existing planking, pressure washed and a protective rubberized membrane was put down on the framing to extend its lifespan. New prestained tight knot cedar was installed with invisible fasteners. The railing, which the homeowners decided to keep was reinforced at key structural areas, was stained and a new top rail was placed to finish the project. The family -including dogs - love their new deck!
