The Problem: A beautiful 100 year old home had a patio that had been installed incorrectly and that had, over the years caused substantial structural damage to the house wall. The concerned home owners discovered the extent of the damage when demoing the patio to install a new one as part of their home makeover.

The Solution: All rotted wood was removed, existing wood was treated with an anti-rot solution and new pressure treated structural framing was installed without compromising the integrity of existing load-bearing walls.  New insulation was placed and the compromised area was sealed with pressure-treated plywood, a waterproof membrane and new siding. The area is now ready for a new flagstone patio and the homeowners are excited to continue the makeover knowing that their home received expert help!
